I had no idea how close the Grand Canyon was to Vegas, so when we found out we would not be getting to do anymore national parks, Ben and I decided to hit Vegas for the day. We had already looked into it, but was worried time wise was not going to happen. We also didn't realize we would be passing the Hoover Dam on our way. There is no description for this place. I can tell you how big it is but until you see it for yourself there are no words to describe its' magnitude. Can you see the trucks in the first picture that are the bottom of the dam? It was Ben's favorite part of the trip. He wants to go back. I just wanted to take the dam tour.
