more Easter pics

We spent Easter afternoon at Gigi and PopPop with our cousin Adom. Getting 3 toddlers to look and smile at the same time was harder than getting 5 groomsmen to do the same. We did not get to have an egg hunt b/c the weather got yucky, naptimes, no nap for certain 2-year old blondie, etc. etc. but we had a great meal and fun playtime.

update- Bell

Bell slept through the night, no fever this morning, but is pretty demanding! She ate well, 2 bowls of Cheerios and yogurt. She is "vacuuming" right now. Thanks for your prayers and e-mails. We still are waiting for blood work, but Dr. is optimistic with how she is behaving this a.m.

night at the ER

Bella has had a low fever for a couple of days, nothing major - could have been teething, earache, anything. Last night at 10 she woke up and was very dirty, if you know what I mean, so I changed her diaper and noticed she was extremely hot. 106 degrees hot. So, I called the doctor's hot line to see what they recommended we do. Of course, it was take her to the ER, the one thing I did not want to do. LE had woken up in the commotion, so Ben stayed home with her. So, I made the trek alone, we went to the brand new hospital near our house. I dread hospitals, doctor appts. like no one's business. But, this was the most pleasant experience at a hospital ever. There was no wait, paper work was a breeze, the staff (even housekeeping was offering encouragement) was so friendly. Nurses were trying so hard to comfort Bell. My friend, Pam came up and sat with me, so I was not alone and then she went to stay with LE (who was still awake) so Ben could come. God was so gracious in so many ways to us last night. They ran multiple tests, and even again this morning at a follow-up they could find nothing. She has a upper respiratory infection, with a fever that shot up. If you happen to need a ER or hospital, try the Seton Williamson new facility, they were absolutely awesome!

Easter at the Neal's

On the Saturday before we celebrate Easter with my Dad's side of the family, usually at Alvin and Francy's. They have a house in the country with two huge yards. There is always a kid egg hunt and an adult egg hunt. We had ham, macaroni and cheese (the kind from the blue box), mashed potatoes, fresh veggies, rice and broccoli, LOTS of desserts, including chocolate covered strawberries. Landry did not get the egg thing right away, but there was also an 8 foot tall bunny rabbit that was stressing her out. Bell had a blast putting eggs in her basket. Then, when LE discovered there was jelly beans in her eggs, she wanted to find more. She even found cash in her eggs, but preferred the candy!! And of course, cascaranas galore - always the fave!

The Romans Road

As you know I am taking ministry classes at church this semester. As I hear the teacher speak about our stage/pulpit (that we minsiter from), I often think my stage is my classroom, but with 5,200 hits on my blog - I cannot resist this stage. I love the Lord and I hope all of my readers do too, but I cannot pass up the opportunity to share with you about him. If you know him, awesome, but chances are you have friends who don't. So, whether this is brand new info for you or info for you to share with a friend, I want to share Romans Road with you...

Romans 3:23 says that we all have sinned. (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God)

Romans 6:23a spells out the consequences of our sin. (For the wages of sin is death)

Romans 5:8 assures us that God loves us in spite of our sin and provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. (But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.)

Romans 6:23b points out that salvation is a gift of grace and mercy from God to us through Jesus Christ. (but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)

Romans 10:13 tells us what we must do to receive His gift. (For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.")

Romans 10:9-10 teaches us how to pray for and receive salvation. (That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.)

Love,
Kristi

another weekend, another park

We found another fun park this past weekend in Georgetown. It was a little big for the girls, but they loved driving in the cars. The slides were about 10 feet tall (not exaggerating, Ben said that high) and Bell would slide all by herself. We traumatized LE and let her go alone down the slide and then, she did not want to do it again. Bell kept climbing up the playscape again and again.

having the right tool for the job

LE loves to help us cook. Drawback is often I cannot find my utensils when needed... Thank goodness SHE had a whisk for me to use in her kitchen.

happy face

LE, age 31 months

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

A fun day with Daddy at the city park. Bella was such a brave 16-month old scaling the rock wall. She was so proud of herself. Notice the proud Daddy behind her. LE got the hang of it too. She is a little more aprehensive than Bell, but could not be out done by her little sister. We had a great unexpected surprise when our best play friend, Connor and his mommy and daddy walked up. This is our new fave family time!
