first family portrait

We have never had a family portrait taken, yes I said never.  We had pictures taken at each of the kids' birthday parties, but never let's get dressed in coordinating clothes, go somewhere special and have someone else take our picture.  My friend Erica, has been asking me to take her family pictures and I offered to swap, hers for ours.  We took them at a nearby park on a cool, rainy, overcast day.  The overcast made for perfect lighting, but the mist made for cranky boys and crazy hair.
We don't do Christmas cards, but if we did, this would be the one.  Thank you so much Erica, for making our first family portrait happen. I love how they turned out.
