rainy day fun

We have been learning the color words in Spanish, but the names were not sticking.  So, we went on a scavenger hunt around the house to find all of the verde things we could find.  During the process we also learned spacial awareness (a marker would not fit into our jar, but, yep Bella it is verde).  Last week when it rained, we played I spy and the girls practiced listing the items on their dry erase boards.
We had so much fun we went on to make one for each color.  Which jar was the hardest to fill? Negro.
Gigi has been collecting us Truvia (sugar substitute jars), but an empty water bottle would have worked too.  We used our scallop punch from SU! to make labels in English/Spanish.
