missions update

After a lot of praying, I have decided to not return to Africa this year and instead travel with our missions team to Bucharest, Romania. We have not began our team meetings yet, so I do not have an exact itinerary, but I know we are doing alot of work with youth and children. I am really excited about this opportunity.
In 1996, my twin brothers and I went on a short-term mission trip to New Mexico to host a Vacation Bible School for children on the reservations. I knew then that I was called to the mission field. I also knew it was specifically going to be short-term missions and that I was called locally in the classroom which I believe is a mission field in of itself.
A few months ago, I was praying specifically asking the Lord where he wanted to me to go next and if he wanted me to return to Africa this Christmas. When I was finished praying I checked the mail and there was a letter from Mission of Mercy (the organization in which we sponsor our child, Elsa). In it was info on Romania and the needs of the children in that country. It broke my heart and I asked the Lord if there was ever an opportunity I would love to travel there. That same week I received an e-mail from Pastor Mel asking if I was interested in traveling to Romania. I should have just decided that very instant that this was the Lord's doing, but I am Kristi, and I had to question every aspect of it. Every time I put a question out to the Lord He answered it and in the way I needed it to be answered for peace. So, I would ask something harder and He would solve that issue. So, today I committed to the trip and I have put out one more fleece to Him. I have to raise $1500 to participate.
If you know the story of Africa you know He provided every single penny for that trip including having a total stranger buy my airline ticket. I believe this opportunity is from the Lord and I believe He will answer this cry too. Please be in prayer for me and this team. If you are interested in financially supporting me, please let me know and I will get you the info. My first deposit is September 6th.

So you're going to the capital. That's neat. Are you going to get to visit Transylvania while you're there. I've had friends visit there but never went myself.
