around town

We stayed with my cousin Nita and her husband Doug for our mini-vacation. Nita is a realtor and she drove me around southeastern Louisiana when Ben was in the conference. She took me to the 9th ward which was hit so badly by Katrina and by Musician's Row which are the homes Brad Pitt and Harry Connick Jr are building in New Orleans.
Her sister, Pat is getting her license to be a tour guide in New Orleans. She takes her test tonight, so she asked if she could practice on us. She gave us a walking tour around the French Quarter and had great tidbits about the different buildings. Then, we went to Lafayette Cemetery. Unfortunately, the cemetery was closed by the time we got there, but it was cool to hear about the different things she has learned in class.
