American Girl Party

Boo planned the majority of her party this year.  I found an American Girl Party book at HPB, which is where we came up with the idea.  She found a chocolate cake decorated with flags and fireworks, so from there she decided she wanted everything red, white and blue.  Boo and I made a special Mommy/Daughter date to the party store for supplies.  She wanted pompom-tissue flowers and that was pretty much the extent for her requests.  Two days before the party she informed the girls were supposed to bring their dolls for the tea party; OK, but what tea party?  I finally brought her back to reality and we were able to keep things simple.  We planned to play croquet and a couple of games from the post WWII era (Molly, her doll is from that time period), but the girls were having fun just playing and Moms socializing I didn't bring them out.
