another thanks~

A few weeks ago I posted about taking photos at the church of the youth practicing praise and worship. LE told me that afternoon she wanted a pink guitar for her b-day. And she has reminded me almost every day since.

Fast Forward to this past Thursday - I went to Kerrville to teach a card class and we had a special lunch, you guessed it at Camp Verde with Belinda, Mimi and Gigi. Belinda gave LE a gift card to Izzie Bear in Kerrville. This store has so many beautiful things, clothes & toys of all kinds (where original Fluffles came from). I could not decide on something to save my life. My friend Jenny from church called and I stepped outside to take her call and saw it in the window - a guitar. It was not pink, but it was an LE size guitar. I don't think I heard half of our conversation b/c I was praying so hard that the guitar would be some where in the gift card price range. IT WAS and it was 30% off!! She loves it! Thank you Miss Belinda!

here's your sign

As I left the gym yesterday morning, I saw this sign on a metal fenced-in box. There was a member of the gym staff sitting on the box smoking a cigarette. Just wondering if the Y in RR was still standing today?

thanks Adom

Last night our good buddy Connor came over and we had movie night, complete with Cinderella pallet on the floor, movies and Dumbo. The kids had a blast. Thank you Uncle Greg, Aunt Coco and Adom for our Princes sleeping bag.
The girls love "picnicking" on it!!

new blog in the making

http://wonderfullymadewithkristi.blogspot.com/

I have had this silly blog site for months, maybe even a year and could never commit to it. I am now ready to take that blunge. This is my new stampin' up blog with the cards I am working on. Take a look, bookmark it, share with a friend & if you are crafty then enter some of my challenges.

Thanks Granny

Granny taught Troy and Lindsay how to play 41 a couple of weeks ago and LE desperately wanted to join them. Granny found this cute Dora dominoes set and the girls have been playing their own version. LE is getting it slowly, but Bell just likes locating Boots.

playdo fun

Uncle Ryan, Aunt Rissa and baby Emery gave us a great birthday gift, playdo kit with an octopus to build ocean critters galore. We have had so much fun with this set all week. Daddy and Mommy enjoy it as much as the girls! Thank you for such a neat gift, I had no idea what we were missing out on!

another thank you

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest princess of them all?
Thank you Gigi and PopPop for all of my dress up & Princess mirror.

another reason I love my gym

Friday night was Family Friday at the gym which means FREE babysitting. The girls got to go play at the gym for 4 hours and Ben and I got to go on an early date. Another tip - Cheesecake Factory has a bar menu from 4 - 6 (thus the early date), many items are $2.95 - $4.50. We had avocado eggrolls and thai lettuce wraps, my fave tea and a piece of cheesecake. Then, picked up the girls and went home and had some play-do family time.

thank yous

The thought was I would take pics of LE with her b-day gifts and include them in the thank you cards which we have been working on for the past week. I am remembering my rule for 2008 - simplify. So, here is the 1st pic of LE enjoying one of her b-day presents. This is the handmade blanket by Aunt Susan, notice her name embroidered on the left. She has replaced her baby blanket and will even choose it over her princess bedspread. Thank you Uncle Bryan and Aunt Susan.

Landry's other birthday

Landry had a special family birthday party Sunday afternoon on Gigi and PopPop's big back porch. We had brisket, ribs and sausage, Granny's potato salad and bbq beans. Mimi made a castle cake and chocolate cupcakes (per Mommy's request). Everything was so wonderful! It was such a special day for Landry and even more for Daddy and Mommy. The theme was a princess party and I have never seen so much pink in all of my life. I had no idea a house could be filled with so many princess things. Some of our special guests included uncles Troy & Lindsay, Bryan & Susan, Ryan, Marissa & baby Emery. Mr. House, my great-grandparents, Granny, Grandma & Grandpa Neal, cousins - Cameron, Logan and Sarah. Mimi and PawPaw, Gigi and PopPop and my friend, Annie and her parents, Brandt and Lisa.

in the spirit of the Olympics

hate it when he is right

Ok, I don't hate it, but I hate it when he is right at 1 a.m. I have been staying up way too late watching the Olympics. Last night, Ben told me I needed to go to bed and I did not listen, got in bed around 12ish. At 1, LE came in our room very stinky and crying. I changed her and put her back to bed. About 15 minutes later I heard her coming down the hall crying for Daddy & coughing (this did not wake Daddy, so I put her on my side of the bed to cuddle.) Oh, maybe 2 minutes later my pillow, my side of the bed, LE and I are all covered in sickness. So, got everything cleaned up and everyone returned to beds around 2:30. To be woken up at 6:15 ready to start her day! So, I will be going to bed earlier tonight w/out any Olympics.

Happy Birthday Landry Elaine

Today is my sweet girl's 3rd birthday! It sounds so cliche, but it does seem like yesterday they handed her to me. She has had the longest birthday ever including a special dinner (Friday) at Red Robin including an ice cream sundae, birthday party with family at Gigi and PopPop's (Sunday) and a water park splash today with friends from church! Tonight, we are having her favorite dinner shrimp and veggies. Happy Birthday Sweet Landry! I love you!

presents in the mail

The girls got a special surprise in the mail yesterday from their friend, Mrs. Petty. They had so
much fun with their new pencils. It was a new medium they had never used before. They really enjoy their new "purses." Their purses were full of scrapbooking paper, buttons, ribbons and stickers. We have not had time to play yet, but we cannot wait to make a book together. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Petty for always remembering us!! God bless!
