to the virtuous women in my life...

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships,bringing her food from afar

She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Happy Mother's Day!

He loves me...

My guy brought me roses Thursday afternoon (the last day of school) after work. When you become a stay-at-home Mommy people don't always get to see the romantic things your hubby does for you. Aren't they the most gorgeous color?

last day of school

Yesterday was the last day of school for my kindergarten class. We had a mini graduation for the kids. They were so funny trying to keep their hats on walking to the stage. I could not pass up the opportunity to let them throw 'em up in the air!

Pastors Joe and Lori
my little worshipper

Last spring, I posted on the groundbreaking of our youth and children's facilities at church. Last night, we celebrated the grand opening of that building, completly debt free! In one weekend our church held a miracle offering and gathered over a million dollars to pay off the building before its completition. I was asked to take photos of the festivites. I love shooting kids having fun, it is hard not to smile! This lucky guy won a Wii in a drawing. Here are some of my fave shots.

heroes grand opening

Tonight was the grand opening of our Heroes building at church. This is my favorite picture of the night, my own child, up front praising her Jesus. She had so much fun and LOVED the music. Pastor Lori saw her dancing and came up after the service and told me she was a worshiper. I was a proud Momma. More pics to come later!

Bell's 1st baseball game

Connor and his mommy and daddy invited us to a night at the Dell Diamond last week. LE did not know the rule about no crying in baseball, as she cried much of the 1st inning. As soon as Daddy brought us hot dogs all was well. Bell loved running down the berm to the outfield wall, she was worn out by the end of the evening. Connor sat and watched the entire game, he did not move. Thank you so much Calfy fam for a great evening, hopefully next time LE will get a full nap before the big game.

You're Invited

National Day of Prayer

Today is the national day of prayer, please join me in lifting up these prayer requests...
~For our military, especially those in harm's way

~our leaders, whether or not you agree with them, they do have an important job to carry out

~this upcoming election - the truth would come out about each candidate and we can see who the Lord intends to be president

- relief at the gas pump - this is effecting everyone and I do not know how truck drivers are doing it on $4 - 5 a gallon, there has to be a solution

- for the children of the polygamists in West Texas, not sure who is right, but those babies are just that babies and they need their Mommies.

I know so many of you have things going on in your life right now, but if you will stop take a minute and lift these up, God will honor our prayers. Please lift up our family and leave a comment when you do. We wold love to know you are praying with us!
