helicopter buzzing the house

No need to go to bed tonight, as there is a helicopter buzzing our house looking for someone (at 11:00 p.m.). Our neighbor said there were cop cars at the apartment complex about 4 blocks over when she came home, but I swear the silly helicopter is just circling over our house! It has gone by at least 20x now! I will do a Pastor Joe line now, bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do... I am thinking if I am fugitive, there is a heliopter flying over head with night vision, HIDE, hello, do you think he or she is going to go darting across a field with you flying overhead??? 24x now! Sorry, Stormi and Sheryle, not pleased with RRPD right now! Guess, they work for APD, the smart PD!

first pool time of the season

Landry decided she would rather wash the car with Daddy than play in the pool, although Bella did most of her playing outside the pool too.

answers to Bella trivia

In pic #1 Bella is posing for her pic. She watches me squat to take her pic, so she copies me. I have to be quick to catch her before she poses.

In pic #2 Bella is praying before dinner. If she has started eating before we pray, she just sticks her spoon in mouth for the prayer so we can hold hands.

In pic #3, Bella does not want to leave the park, so she is "hiding" from me. I guess if she cannot see me, I cannot see her.

She has also started to "fall asleep" in the car. When I go to get her out of the carseat, she closes her eyes and sits very still. I start kissing her and she does not flinch, it is bizarre how still she can sit.

clarification

I guess I was not clear, so here is the idea again...There are 3 pics of Bella and in each one she is doing her own thing. You are supposed to guess what she is doing in each of the pics. They are all different and it is not what you might think, it is her own quirky take on Richards life. So, take you guess and hten I will post what she is actually doing.

Bell has developed quite the personality the past couple of months. Although, she loves to copy everything LE does, she has a certain way of doing things all her own. These are three of her signature quirks lately, can you guess what she is doing.

God Bless Our Troops

Thank you to all who made the ultimate sacrifice. We especially are so proud of our Uncle Ethan! We love you and miss you! He is our hero!

Memorial Day Fun

Ben surprised us with the day off and took us to Waco to the Cameron Park Zoo. It was such a pleasant day trip. It was not crowded at all and the animals were so much closer than in the SA Zoo. LE's fave animal was the giraffes. Bella loved the fish. My fave was coming face to face with a black bear and Daddy's fave was the giraffe. We had so much fun, will definitely make the trip again.

girls away, mommy play?

I met Ben's mom in Marble Falls this afternoon so the girls could have a weekend with the g-parents. I am already missing them and they have only been gone for like 7 hours. I think it is the Steven Curtis Chapman thing, can you imagine?? I have held back the tears tonight, but I have been keeping busy since I dropped them off, so we will see by the end of the blog if I am still tearless? Tonight, was 318. It was really good about I Peter - 3 John. A lot of info packed into two hours, but good stuff. I missed class last week and it was my favorite book in the bible - James. I am going to the gym tomorrow, volunteer at church, get my haircut cleaned up a tad, baby shower tomorrow night for Celeste ( I have been to 3 baby showers in 3 weeks), card class - Saturday a.m. date night Saturday night, Pastor Lori's usher Sunday a.m. so not much play time, but I do not have to pay a babysitter or drag my kids all over town. I miss you already, so Mimi or Gigi whoever reads this and is holding my girls, hug them, kiss them, squeeze them, tell them I love them and do not let them out of your sight!!

picnic in the park

One of our new fave things to do is meet Daddy for lunch in the park.

update

Thanks for all of your e-mails and calls last week. We, or I am OK. We went home this past weekend and some rest makes most things better. Please continue to keep my friend, Jeanette and her two daughters, Sarah and Tess in your prayers, there is a long road ahead of them. Ben & I are fine, it is all resolved. We are having to prioritize our time and make time for us in the middle of all our scheduling. I am finished with teaching, so there will be one added day to our week now. I will be finished with my school next month, so that will be another chunk off my plate. I did not mean to worry anyone, like I said I was just venting!! Thanks for thinking of me!

a week

I know most people would like me to not write, but just post pics of my cute adorable kids on my blog, but I am having a week and I need to vent! This week (or more like today it seems) has included the death of a friend's husband, the end of a job, fighting with a spouse, lots of tears, a funnel cloud, and abuse of trust, just to name a few. And all of it has driven me to being overstressed and not coping! I say all of this not for sympathy, but to let it out, so my husband and children do not have to hear it or poor people who happen to call at that moment (thanks Anna for listening about one issue and poor Brooke another). I know all of this stress could have been prevented, I know, I know, I know. I also know I put the Lord's time on the back burner this week and have not laid it at his feet, but tried to cope with it all by myself. Why do we do that? Why does it take a daily sacrifice of laying it down? None of this happened b/c I did not read my Bible or spend an "x" amount of time praying, but I do know I could have coped with it alot better had my tank been full on the Lord and turned to him for strength. That's all just needed to talk it out. Thanks for listening.

she said...

Tonight at dinner, LE was eating a bean burrito, but became distracted when she saw my day planner. Ben reminded her to eat and she told him, "Landry's got to do, what Landry's go to do." Where does she hear this stuff?

My Mother's Day

Mother's Day for me came in three parts. We went to two different parks and ate out for b-fast, lunch and dinner and attended a great service at church. This is the creative play park in Georgetown. This was part three. We went to Applebee's in G'town and then we went to this park after dinner. This was an awesome park and the girls did not want to leave!!

to the virtuous women in my life...

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships,bringing her food from afar

She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Happy Mother's Day!
